Jimmy Eyles and Andrew Fox will be part of the next chapter of Shaw Lane Aquaforce’s history.
Eyles signed a new one-year contract at the weekend to be part of Aquaforce’s first ever campaign in the Evo Stik Division One South.
The former Ossett Town and Nostell striker struggled with injury in the latter part of their Toolstation NCEL Premier Division title-winning season, but was excellent in the opening months.
Fox, who played with Eyles at Ossett, joined Aquaforce last September from Handsworth Parramore and went onto score the goal that clinched promotion in the win over Cleethorpes in April.
Craig Elliott told Non League Yorkshire: “I’m delighted that Jimmy and Andrew are staying with the club as they were a major part of the championship winning team.
“I’ve had both players at Ossett in the Evo Stik and they are the type of players we need when we make the step-up.
“We’re still yet to see the best of Jimmy at Shaw Lane because he was injured for a lot of the second half of the season.
“I hope he can replicate his goal-scoring rate that he had when he played for me at Ossett.”
