Glasshoughton Welfare have ended speculation regarding their vacant manager’s position by confirming Mick Norbury as their new first team manager.
Norbury replaces Jon Miles, who was relieved of his duties at the end of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division season.
Under Miles, Glasshoughton finished bottom of the table and Norbury is tasked with rebuilding the club in Division One.
His first training session takes place on Saturday 27th June.
It is the third managerial position that Norbury has held in the NCEL having also managed Worsbrough Bridge and most recently Maltby Main.
He has also assisted Nigel Danby at Goole and Harrogate Railway. During his playing career, Norbury played for the likes of Wakefield & Emley, Doncaster Rovers, Bridlington Town, Halifax Town, among others.
