Joel Dixon is the latest player to sign for ambitious Evo Stik Division One North side Scarborough Athletic.
The midfielder, who can also play in defence, has been without a club since leaving FA Cup heroes Blyth Spartans in February.
Dixon has also played for Frickley Athletic, Harrogate Railway and Tadcaster Albion in the past few seasons.
Joint manager Paul Foot said: “Joel can play anywhere across the defence as well as in midfield. He is a tough tackling player who will be a great new addition to the club.
“At just 22 Joel is another young lad joining us hungry to succeed and we are looking forward to seeing him in action in a Boro shirt.”
The signing of Dixon follows on from the captures of Leigh Franks and Dominic Rowe.
