Ben White will be Scarborough Athletic’s goalkeeper next season in the Evo Stik Division One North.

The stopper leaves Barton Town Old Boys to link up with Paul Foot and Bryan Hughes’ men.

He replaces Joe Cracknell, who excelled during his long loan spell from Hull City.

Joint manager Foot said: “Ben played at the academy at York City, moving on to North Ferriby United on loan where I came across him.

“He is a tall keeper who is only young at 21 and is keen to get started.”

The news rounds off another busy day for Scarborough, who earlier the announced the departure of popular midfielder Jimmy Beadle.

Scarborough claim that Beadle is heading to Tadcaster Albion.
