Joe Thornton has signed for Tadcaster Albion
Tadcaster Albion have signed Toolstation NCEL Premier Division title winner Joe Thornton.
Thornton left Shaw Lane Aquaforce last week and has been quickly snapped up by promotion-chasing Tadcaster.
The striker brings a lot of quality and experience to i2i Sports Stadium. He has played for Shaw Lane, Ossett Albion and Athersley Recreation.
Tadcaster are also hoping to enjoy another run in the FA Vase and Thornton has that experience.
He was a substitute when Staveley reached the semi-finals in 2012 under Billy Fox.
Thornton then put Aquaforce ahead in the quarter-final replay at Glossop – a tie they lost in extra-time.
