Phil Lindley is the new assistant manager of Glasshoughton Welfare
Phil Lindley has been appointed as Mick Norbury’s assistant manager at Glasshoughton Welfare.
The former Frickley Athletic, Bradford (Park Avenue) and Goole midfielder will also register as a player.
He will assist Norbury in the quest to put Glasshoughton back on an even keel after a hugely disappointing season which saw them finish bottom of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division.
Lindley arrives from Pontefract Collieries, who he helped win promotion with a number of excellent displays in defence.
Lindley, who is a partner at the locally-based A1 Football Factory, is vastly experienced and lists winning the old Northern Premier League First Division as one of achievements.
