Chris Wood is back with Frickley Athletic after two years away from the Evo Stik Premier Division side.
The striker played for Karl Rose’s side during the 2013-14 season before moving onto play for Ossett Town and then briefly AFC Mansfield.
Wood made his first return appearance during the friendly with Doncaster Rovers on Wednesday night.
Also returning to Frickley is midfielder Jake White. The other new face is midfielder Louis Penty, who joins FC Halifax Town.
There is more positive news for followers of Frickley as four more players from last season’s team have agreed to stay and have signed forms.
Those four are John Cyrus, goalkeeper Sam Leigh, defender James Kay and midfielder Brad Riley.
