Billy Miller’s first match in charge of Tadcaster Albion ended in a 2-0 defeat to FC Halifax Town at the i2i Sports Stadium.
Tadcaster created chances against the National League Premier side and went close to breaking the deadlock on several occasions during the first half.
But, on the stroke of half-time it was Halifax who took the front foot. Former Curzon Ashton captain Sam Walker crossed and Sean Turton finished to fire Neil Aspin’s side ahead.
Halifax doubled their lead straight after the interval, despite the inevitable half-time changes.
Striker Danny Hattersley put his name on the score-sheet with a neat strike.
