Steve Brennan has become the second Toolstation NCEL Division One boss to leave his post before the season has even started.
Brennan’s departure from Rossington Main was confirmed on Sunday – days after Brian Davey ended his eight-year stint at the helm of Knaresborough Town.
Former Scarborough Athletic reserve team boss Brennan had held the role since replacing Steve Lodge in November 2013 and was due to take charge of their opening pre-season friendly against Boston United on Tuesday.
Chairman Carl Stokes said: “From a chairman’s point of view, it was a pleasure working with Steve whom I feel progressed the club both on and off the pitch.
“Unfortunately circumstances within the club have been a main contributing factor for his departure.
“The club wishes Steve every success in his future endeavours and I certainly feel he would be a huge benefit to any football club he joins.”
