Matt Dempsey has signed for Ossett Albion along with Eddy Birch and Danny South.

Dempsey recently left Ossett’s Evo Stik Division One North rivals Farsley Celtic and has lots of experience from other spells at Garforth Town, Thackley and Bradford (Park Avenue).

Tall striker South returns to Albion following last season’s bizarre 20 minute appearance.

He signed for Albion in November, made a brief debut, but because of a suspension he missed the next three games.

By the time the ban was served, he signed for Goole.

Birch has also played for Albion previously and Richard Tracey has fought off interest from other clubs to get his signature.

He turned out for Bridlington Town last season.

Manager Tracey said: “These are quality signings and hopefully show our intent this season.

“We are looking to build on last year and we have definitely strengthened the squad.

“I may bring one or two more in, but we are only looking at players who can better our starting eleven.”
