Steve Mallory is definitely part of Scarborough Athletic’s plans for the upcoming Evo Stik Division One North campaign.
The former Farsley Celtic and Bradford (Park Avenue) defender has been training with Scarborough since the start of the pre-season with a view to signing on.
He has done enough in the first few games to persuade Paul Foot and Bryan Hughes to give him a deal at Queensgate.
Mallory has been out of the semi-professional game for over a year having played for top West Yorkshire League side Bardsey and Leeds Sunday League outfit Seacroft last season.
Foot has described his displays as “outstanding”.
Also signing for Scarborough is former Wakefield FC and Garforth Town player James Williams.
