Scarborough Athletic midfielder James Bennett will be lining up for Pickering Town this season.

The signing of the Hull-born player is a huge coup for Paul Marshall and Pickering, who have retained most of their squad from last season.

Bennett has lots of experience from spells with Hull City and Darlington.

He has previously played for Bridlington Town and Scarborough Athletic in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division.

For the last two years, he has been playing for Scarborough in the Evo Stik League.

However, he was not a regular at the end of the season and still not initially start pre-season with the Seadogs.

He eventually returned to training, but after speaking to Pikes assistant manager Denny Ingram, Pickering has become his next destination.
