Neil Parsley admits that Farsley Celtic are having to do their recruitment late in pre-season.
Farsley have surprisingly only added three players – Nick Guest, Neil Stevens and Kyle Harrison -to their squad ahead of the Evo Stik Division One North campaign.
Under Parsley, Farsley have always announced their signings in June or early July.
That is not the case in 2015, but Parsley insists new faces will be confirmed soon.
“I think I need another two or three players, but it is difficult, being honest,” Parsley told Non League Yorkshire.
“It has been a difficult pre-season. Our budget has gone down a little bit. I’m not sure what other people are paying, but I have found it difficult to attract players.
“It has been tricky. We’ve been working hard on signing, but no-one is wanting to commit as they are looking elsewhere first at teams who are paying a bit more money.
“I’ve had six or seven people say ‘I’m not sure what I want to do’?
“Somewhere along the line there is someone who is going to come along and strengthen us.
“It looks like our business is going to be done at the backend of pre-season, rather than the start.
“It is not ideal because you want more time to prepare and time for people to get used to each other.
“Players who come in at the death will be coming into play with team-mates they don’t know.”
