Lee Ashforth has revealed the identities of six players who will be lining up in his new look Harrogate Railway team this season.

Ashforth is taking Railway into the Evo Stik Division One North campaign as the first team manager after replacing Billy Miller in May.

Since then he has been taking on the task of rebuilding a squad that had lost a number of players such.

Only long-serving player Dan Thirkell had been confirmed publicly to be returning – until yesterday.

Ashforth has officially signed Jack Stockdill, Alex Low, Cameron Lyn, Ryan Fogarty, Ryan Sharrocks and Alex Jones.

Youngster Stockdill has arrived from Guiseley, while striker Fogarty is a former Bradford City player.

Winger Lyn has played for Brighouse Town and Garforth Town in the past.

Centre-back Low has been most recently playing for Dunnington, but trained with Railway in 2013, whilst playing for Glasshoughton Welfare under Rob Hunter.

Striker Jones has been out of the game for a period of time. He was part of the successful Bradford (Park Avenue) reserve team in 2007.

Sharrocks did make a number of appearances for Railway last season and has come back to Station View after a brief spell with Goole.
