Nathan Turner has won his contract with Vanarama National League North side Bradford (Park Avenue).
The former Leeds United youngster endured an injury-hit campaign last season, but Avenue offered him the chance to try and win a contract for the coming year.
Assistant boss Jamie Price said: “Martin, Danny (Schofield), (goalkeeping coach) Matty (Wright) and myself are delighted to get Nathan signed up for this season.
“He had a testing year last year but he is ultra-professional and has come back this preseason fitter, stronger and determined to pay the club back for sticking by him.
“He has nothing to prove to us but that’s just the kind of honest, loyal person he is.
“He is a very intelligent footballer who reads the game well and has a very high pass completion rate. On top of that he is a great lad to have in the changing room and fits in well with the personality we want at the club.
“He’s been sought after by several clubs but feels that BPA is where he wants to be which is great news for the club.”
