Former Leeds United and Sheffield United defender Leigh Bromby has returned to his roots by becoming the new chairman of Liversedge.
Bromby started his career with the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side before being spotted by Sheffield Wednesday.
He crossed the city to play for the Blades in 2004 and went onto sign for Watford and then Leeds United until retirement in 2013.
A Liversedge statement said: “He is currently U18s professional development coach at Huddersfield Town FC and has a number of business interests local to the area.
“Leigh has agreed to take the role to help elevate the stature and profile of the club.
“Along with his strong football and business links, we hope to forge stronger relationships with local business’ and the community.”
