Lee Hastings has taken over as manager of struggling Toolstation NCEL Division One side Winterton Rangers.

The former Hall Road Rangers boss watched his new club for the first time in the FA Vase defeat to St Helens Town.

He replaces Daz Waring, who resigned a few days ago after a difficult start to the season.

Hastings leaves his role as Dave Ricardo’s assistant boss at Selby Town.

Ricardo said: “I’d like to congratulate Lee Hastings on getting the Winterton position.

“I think it is a fantastic opportunity for him. I am sad to see him go, but I wish him all the best.

“It does leave us in the market for an assistant and myself, the committee and the chairman will be working very closely over the coming days to fill the position as quickly as possible.

“We are open to new ideas and I am sure we will find the correct person.”
