Sam Denton lifting the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division trophy in April for Shaw Lane
Shaw Lane Aquaforce’s title-winning captain Sam Denton has joined Handsworth Parramore.
Denton was recently made available by Shaw Lane and Handsworth have beaten off a lot of competition for his signature.
His mission now is to achieve his third Toolstation NCEL Premier Division title medal in four seasons having also won the crown with Scarborough Athletic in 2013.
Peter Duffield said: “Sam is a very good signing for the club, he has experience at this level and above and captained Shaw Lane to the title last year, so he knows what this league is all about.
“I felt we needed another defender with experience at this level and Sam was keen to join us after we had spoken.
“I would like to add my thanks to Shaw Lane for their co-operation at helping the move go through so quickly.
“It goes without saying that I’m delighted to have Sam on board.”
