Nash Connolly’s hat-trick ensured Hemsworth Miners Welfare recorded a third consecutive Toolstation NCEL Division One victory.

His treble and Shane Kelsey’s first goal for Hemsworth earned the Wells a 4-2 win at Knaresborough Town.

Connolly, the young winger, curled a free kick around the Knaresborough wall to give his side an early lead before George Eustace levelled the scores.

Hemsworth had to wait until the hour mark for their next strike and it was that they have been waiting for since the summer. Star signing Kelsey opened his account for the Wells with a free kick.

Connolly then put the game to bed with two similar goals that involved cutting inside from the right.

Brad Walker scored a late consolation goal for Knaresborough.
