Craig Elliott expects Shaw Lane Aquaforce to show a winning consistency once as the injury list clears up.
That’s not to say that Shaw Lane haven’t had a bad start to the Evo Stik Division One South season as the Barnsley-based side have only lost once in the league.
However, injuries to players such as Neil Austin, Luke O’Brien and a number of other players have hindered them.
Elliott told Non League Yorkshire: “I’m more than happy with performances.
“I think the only bad result is not when we lost in the FA Cup at Alsager.
“To a certain extent we are still finding our feet in the Division, but people from the outside get carried away after we have one poor result.
“If we had won at Stocksbridge we could have gone second which makes me smile a bit.
“I think we’re just having a bit of bad luck off-the-pitch in terms of injuries.
“The only concern I have is injuries.
“Before the Stocksbridge game I thought we had players coming back and then we picked up some more.
“I think the amount of injuries show in the inconsistency of results.”
Shaw Lane visit Gresley FC tomorrow afternoon.
