Dave Ricardo has promoted Billy Gill to assistant manager at Selby Town
Selby Town chief Dave Ricardo has promoted from within with the appointment of his new assistant manager.
First team coach Billy Gill replaces Lee Hastings, who became Winterton Rangers’ new boss earlier this month.
Hull-based Gill has helping Ricardo since the start of pre-season, but his role has grown bigger since Hastings left.
Ricardo said: “I’m pleased to confirm that 1st team coach Billy Gill has stepped up to the position of assistant manager.
“Billy has been a great help since the beginning of pre season for both myself and helping to educate the players.
“He has shown a high level of dedication already to Selby Town and shares my level of passion for the game.”
Selby are next in action when they visit Eccleshill United on Saturday.
