Farsley Celtic finally celebrated their first Evo Stik Division One North victory of the season by comfortably beating Ossett Town 3-0 at Throstle Nest.
After seven tough games with being against six of the top eight, Farsley knew their time to properly get their campaign underway had arrived with the clash against their local rivals.
They wasted no time in stamping their authority on the match. Farsley’s captain Robbie O’Brien, a former Ossett star, fired them with a long range effort after just 13 minutes.
The visitors then survived efforts by Lewis Nightingale and Ross Daly.
Farsley’s lead was doubled on the hour mark with new signing Paul Walker scoring from 20 yards.
The vital victory was sealed in the closing stages when summer signing Nick Guest scored from a rebound.
