Kingsley Wetherald was one of three new players on show for Glasshoughton Welfare on Saturday in the 3-3 draw with Penistone Church.
Wetherald actually scored on his return and he was joined by Rob Thomas, who signed in time from Liversedge.
The other player was a surprise one in the shape of striker Ashley Scothern.
Scothern has been out of the game for a few years, but will be remembered by fans by Frickley Athletic and Ossett Town.
Bradford (Park Avenue) supporters with long memories may also recall his name. Then-Avenue boss Carl Shutt signed him back in November 2004 and played a few times until Leigh RMI came in and signed him.
It subsequently turned out that Leigh had approached the striker illegally so the now-defunct club had to pay compensation to Avenue.
