Ossett Albion lost their unbeaten home record when they lost 3-0 to Warrington Town in the Evo Stik Division One North.
The first half was played at a frantic pace which was dictated by Warrington and Albion struggled to compete.
On 15 minutes Brett Souter made a good save to keep Albion in the game and they began to show signs of coping with the fast-running visitors.
Then in the 22nd minute the Albion defence failed to clear the ball and it ricocheted to Ciaran Kilheeney who made no mistake and put Warrington ahead.
Albion were conceding a lot of free-kicks around their box which added to the pressure on them.
In the 37th minute a fast attack from Warrington ended with Kilheeney in on goal and he was allowed to turn and shoot giving Souter no chance.
The second half saw Albion competing much better and they began to attack more, putting pressure on the visiting defence which prevented them from dominating the game.
Unfortunately they couldn’t keep it up and Warrington went further ahead in the 74th minute.
Another quick move down the right needed Souter to make a sharp save but the ball rebounded to Scott Metcalfe who slotted it into the net.
Albion can have no complaints as the best team won and could have added more goals before the end.
