Former Leeds United defender Matt Heath is the new assistant manager of Tadcaster Albion.
Heath, who will still play for Tadcaster, took up the role for the first time during the Brewers; 3-2 defeat at Barton Town Old Boys on Saturday.
The centre-back was Billy Miller’s first signing as Tadcaster manager back in May.
The pair have a close working relationship as Heath works for Miller at Askham Bryan College.
Heath said: “I am relishing the chance to take the next step in my football career.
“I feel privileged to be given the chance to work with so many fantastic people at this great club. I have loved my first few months here at Tadcaster Albion and with such a strong squad, I feel sure we will enjoy another successful season.”
Due to work commitments, Mike Morton and Simon Collins will now concentrate primarily on their work with the i2i Football Academy, both domestic and international.
They will however remain a key part of the club management team and will assist Miller and Heath wherever they can. They will also continue to manage Tadcaster Albion U21s.
