Ryan Hindley celebrated his first anniversary at the helm of Hallam by watching them rise to second in the Toolstation NCEL Division One table.
Hallam were 1-0 down at half-time to Rossington Main, but Hindley’s side scored five goals after the break to ease to victory.
Michael Blythen scored his second hat-trick in two games.
Their lofty position in the table underlines the remarkable job that Hindley has done in the space of 12 months since taking on his first managerial role.
Last year he took over a Hallam team that was bottom with zero months and heading out of the NCEL.
He immediately stemmed the tide and his side were safe within a few months.
Now Hallam are genuine promotion candidates and since taking charge, Hindley has won more than half his games.
Hallam face third-placed Hemsworth Miners Welfare on Non League Day on Saturday at Sandygate.
