Two quick-fire first half goals guided Brighouse Town to a 2-1 victory over Farsley Celtic last night at the Dual Seal Stadium.
James Pollard and Ryan Hall gave Brighouse a commanding position and Paul Quinn’s were able to hold on after Aiden Savory scored for the visitors.
The victory consolidates their position in fifth position – eight points behind and a game in hand on leaders Warrington Town.
The decisive moments came on the half hour mark. Pollard from out wide managed to drift into the net for the opener before Farsley conceded again moments later.
Hall was allowed to run at their defence and then round former Brighouse goalkeeper Tom Taylor to score the second.
Striker Savory gave Farsley late hope, but Brighouse won the points.
