Nathan Perks missed a penalty in Glasshoughton’s 3-2 defeat to Teversal
Glasshoughton Welfare failed to record back-to-back Toolstation NCEL Division One wins after losing 3-2 to Teversal at Leeds Road.
Welfare missed an early penalty and then after falling behind, Ashley Scothern scored his first goals for the club, but two second half goals saw the visitors claim all three points.

Welfare looked out of sorts from the start and seemed to lack the confidence that was so evident in the previous game against Worsborough. The home side should have taken the lead on twelve minutes when Scothern was hauled down in the penalty area but Nathan Perks hit his spot kick wide of the goal.
Welfare had a lucky escape a few minutes later when keeper Jordan Watson made a good block, but on twenty three minutes Teversal took the lead when a mistake in the Welfare area saw the ball slipped by Watson for Richard Guest to rifle the ball home..
The visitors could have had a second a few minutes later Gary Armstrong hit a twenty five yards shot in that was fumbled by Watson and the rebound shot was hooked off the line by Blaine Kellett.
Welfare came back and Cawley saw a great chance saved by visiting keeper Dale Sheppard. But then on thirty three minutes Welfare drew level when a Jimmy Williams pass found Scothern who, from the edge of the penalty area, lobbed over Sheppard for his first goal.
A short time later Cawley missed a glorious chance for Welfare when he poked the ball wide from six yards out but on 41 minutes welfare got a second goal when great work on the right saw the ball reach Luke Durham. His shot was well saved by Sheppard but Scothern pounced on the rebound to smash the ball home.
Welfare opened the second half on top and Williams hit a shot over the bar.
Teversal drew level on 51 minutes when great movement on the right saw the ball reach James McCann who hammered the ball past Watson.
Gary Atkins nearly got a third a couple of minutes later when his cross come shot bounced on the Welfare bar, but the winning goal did come twelve minutes from the end when from a corner, Khyle Sargent managed to flick the ball into the net.
