A late Romulus equaliser denied Stocksbridge Park Steels all three points in the 1-1 draw.

Chances were few and far between in the Evo Stik Division One South encounter.

Joel Grandison hit the post for Romulus in the first half.

Stocksbridge took the lead early on in the second half. Good work by half-time substitute Adam Hinchcliffe enabled new signing Scott Ruthven to score.

Romulus finished strongly and after a long period of pressure, Emmanuel Gueyes was their hero with a superb free kick in the last two minutes.

Stocksbridge Park Steels: D Reay, Meade, Coleman, Cardwell, McFadyen, Biggins, Rhodes, Poulton, Fox, Gregory, Ruthven. Subs: Shaw, Hinchliffe.
