Eccleshill United moved into the top half of the Toolstation NCEL Division One table with a resounding 6-2 hammering of Worsbrough Bridge.
Although Worsbrough did take the lead, Eccleshill regrouped and comfortably recorded a second consecutive victory.
It was a penalty that put Worsbrough in front after a foul by Jermaine Springer. Rob Oldham confidently slotted the spot kick away and Worsbrough must have thought their luck was changing.
A quality strike from captain Andy Cooper levelled the scores and also opened the floodgates.
Luke Harrop netted his 16th of the season before Ben Hardy lobbed the Worsbrough goalkeeper to add the third goal.
Worsbrough couldn’t handle Eccleshill at times and Cooper’s through ball in the second half allowed Liam Charles to go one-on-one with Bridge’s stopper and score.
A thunderbolt from Brett Catley was goal number five before Matt Jacobs reduced the deficit.
Brandon Hammond scored Eccleshill’s sixth in the closing stages.
