Ossett Town have lost leading goal-scorer Nathan Curtis to Evo Stik Division One North rivals Spennymoor Town.

The popular striker’s Ingfield exit was confirmed today and is the first since the arrival of new manager Graham Nicholas.

Curtis has previously rejected offers to remain with Ossett, but the lure of SPennymoor has proved too much to turn down.

Nicholas said: “I am disappointed to lose a player like Nathan Curtis as I wanted the opportunity to work with him but understand his desire to quickly progress up the football pyramid.

“This is not a negative however as it opens the door for someone else in the team to impress.”
