Craig Elliott has been very impressed with his Shaw Lane Aquaforce’s form in the last six weeks.
Their unbeaten run in October earned them the Evo Stik Division One South club of the month and November started perfectly with the 5-0 hammering of Basford.
The gap between them and leaders Stafford Rangers has now been cut to five points.
Elliott said: “I know we’re into November, but we have had a good month.
“We’re in a great run of form. The Stafford game was the biggest turning point in the season.
“We were under pressure to win that game and we have kicked on since.
“It was a big lift and confidence booster and I think we have been brilliant since.”
Elliott recently returned from holiday after missing a few matches. Daz Smith and Lee Morris took the helm for those games and the latter made the headlines by rescuing Aquaforce in the FA Trophy.
He added: “The club was in safe hands while I was away.
“We have a good squad and a good management team in Daz and Moz.
“They are always influential because we’re a team. Everyone contributes to the team.
“People like Doug O’Connor, Kev Wright. It is a well-run club and it is not just about managers, players, chairmen.”
