Rob Bordman (centre) scored twice for Ossett Albion in the 4-0 win over Witton Albion

A superb second half display guided Ossett Albion to a 4-0 victory over Witton Albion at Dimple Wells.

The struggling visitors dominated the first half, but key performances from centre-halves James Riley and Danny South kept them at bay in the Evo Stik Division One North clash.

But, Albion were able to turn the games on its head on the stroke of half-time when Adam Muller scrambled the ball home from one of the home sides few first half corners.

The goal inspired the home side and they extended their lead five minutes into the second half when Rob Bordman broke down the Albion left beating Witton skipper Anthony Gardner. He drew the visitors’ goalkeeper Firth from his goal and then squared the ball to the waiting Connor Brunt who fired home from 12 yards.

More was seen of Ossett as an attacking force and two Rob Boardman goals in four minutes sealed the game for the home side. On 73 minutes he flicked home Declan Dawson’s near post cross and then on 77 minutes he fired home from an acute angle to complete the scoring.

Ossett Albion: Souter, Dawson, Thompson, Paylor, Riley, South, Brunt (Bojang), Claisse, Bordman (Ndlovu), Matthews, Muller (Bower). Subs unused: Wright, Hardaker.
