Lee Connor has returned to Farsley Celtic to become Neil Parsley’s new assistant manager.
Connor replaces his old centre-half partner Mark Jackson, who has taken up a position at Leeds United’s academy.
It is Connor’s fourth stint at Throstle Nest after three as a player. He played for them under Martin Haresign and Lee Sinnott before returning at the start of Farsley’s first season as a reformed club.
He was a key component of the team that won the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division at the first attempt.
He ‘retired’ at the end of the 2011-12 season after captaining Farsley to a 2-1 win over Ossett Town.
Connor came out of retirement last season to play on-and-off for John Reed at Ossett.
Although he has managed the extremely successful Leeds Sunday League side HT Sports for many years, Connor has never been involved in a coaching capacity in the semi-professional game until now.
