Stocksbridge Park Steels incredibly knocked the holders North Ferriby United out of the FA Trophy with a 2-1 comeback victory in East Yorkshire.
Two quick-fire goals from Scott Ruthven guided Chris Hilton’s men through into first round proper.
The magical Trophy run goes on for the Steels, who have beaten Clitheroe, Northwich Victoria, Ilkeston FC and now Ferriby to go further than they have ever been before in the competition.
Ferriby must have thought that it would be a straightforward afternoon after debutant Wayne Brooksby scored from a goal-mouth scramble in the opening few minutes.
Apart from the odd half-attempt at Steels goalkeeper David Reay, Ferriby failed to build on their lead.
Stocksbridge began to take the front foot in the second half. Ruthven and Harrison Biggins had started to apply the pressure and it was the former who levelled the game with 20 minutes to go.
Ferriby must have been stunned as Ruthven then hit the winner after strike-partner Joe Lumsden’s shot was parried.
The Steels survived the inevitable late pressure from Ferriby to celebrate a famous win – on the day their former player Jamie Vardy broke a Premier League record.
