Sam Leigh has become Ossett Town’s new goalkeeper after Tom Morgan’s departure to Kendal Town.

Leigh, who was already dual-registered with Ossett, arrives from Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side Rainworth Miners Welfare.

The goalkeeper has also played for Frickley Athletic and Houghton Main.

As tonight’s trip to Spennymoor in the Integro Doodson League Cup was postponed, Leigh will have to wait until Saturday’s home game with Droylsden to make his debut.

In other news, midfielder Sam Akeroyd has decided to leave Ossett and seek pastures new.
