Yorkshire Amateur are searching for a new goalkeeper after star stopper Suruwa Bojang was ruled out for the rest of the season.
Bojang was taken to hospital in an ambulance after his knee locked during the Ammers’ 4-2 victory over Winterton Rangers on Saturday.
The stopper has a meniscus cartilage tear on the outer side on one of his knees. He is due to have a scan and operation next week.
It is a sad end to his season after such a terrific run of form for the Toolstation NCEL Division One side.
The Ammers are now tasked with finding his replacement and the search is ongoing.
Phil Harding and Rick Addy hope to have their new man in place for the scheduled trip to Glasshoughton Welfare on Saturday.
