Rick Addy has declared himself pleased with Yorkshire Amateur’s first half of the Toolstation NCEL Division One season.
The ninth-placed Leeds-based side have an outside chance of reaching the play-offs as Christmas approaches and considering their injury list, joint manager Addy is satisfied.
“After Saturday’s game we are on the same number of points as we were this time last year so we are doing ok,” Addy said.
“We’re on 35 points so we if get that in the second half of the season then we won’t be far off the play-offs.
“There are four teams who are vying for the top two and then we are in the group that are hanging onto the tails behind.
“We’re pleased. We said we would have a look after ten games and we were happy then.
“We’re happy after 20 games. The school report would say could do a little better, but with the resources we have, we have got to be happy.
“We’re not even at full strength because Danny Hull, Tom Marsden have been missing recently.
“Our captain Dan Freeman is probably out for two months.”
The Ammers are scheduled to head to Glasshoughton Welfare tomorrow. There is a scheduled pitch inspection at 11.30am.
