Karl Rose is “not taking anything for granted” after a really positive start to the season for Frickley Athletic.
Perennial strugglers Frickley are 12th in the Evo Stik Premier Division and 12 points above the relegation zone.
Compared with recent campaigns, it is a superb effort so far.
“We’re doing alright,” Rose said when speaking to Radio Yorkshire.
“Twenty games have gone and we have 29 points on the board so it nearly a point and half a game.
“It makes a difference that we are hopefully looking up rather over our shoulder.
“We still have a long way to go in the season, but hopefully we can keep doing what we have been doing. We need to kick on.
“As much as you can go on a run, you can as soon hit a brick wall. We’re not taking anything for granted.
“At the moment we have ourselves in a really good position which could allow us to really enjoy our season.”
Rose was speaking on Tom Feaheny’s Non League Show on Radio Yorkshire. Other guests on the show were FC Halifax Town caretaker boss Jim Harvey, Shaw Lane Aquaforce winger Rob Youhill, former Tadcaster Albion striker Jamie Hopcutt and Bradford (Park Avenue)’s Jake Scott.
