Stocksbridge Park Steels midfielder Richard Patterson has been ruled out for at least two months
Patterson was taken to hospital after going down in the FA Trophy defeat at Gateshead on Tuesday night.
The former Ossett Town player has a hairline fracture on his ankle, but a doctor has assured him that it will be fully healed in six weeks.
It is a blow to both Stocksbridge and Patterson. Patterson has been in great form for the Steels during their superb of run of results in the last two months.
The Steels will have to cope without him for the first time during the Evo Stik Division One South clash at Coalville Town on Saturday.
