Jordan Deacey had an eventful, but dream debut for Farsley Celtic, hours after signing for the Throstle Nest club.
The midfielder, son of former Farsley manager John, arrived from Shaw Lane Aquaforce in time to be involved in the 3-0 victory over Prescot Cables.
Within a minute of coming on as a second half substitute, he was brought down by Prescot goalkeeper Michael Burgess. Burgess was sent off and Aaron Hardy stepped up to score the penalty to break the deadlock.
Aiden Savory doubled the lead before Deacey got on the score-sheet to seal Farsley’s seventh consecutive victory in the Evo Stik Division One North.
Deacey brings plenty of experience having played for AFC Telford and Bradford (Park Avenue) in the National Leagues.
