Maltby Main have signed experienced Evo Stik League defender Richard Haigh.
Haigh, formerly from Belper Town, Shaw Lane Aquaforce and Stocksbridge Park Steels, joins a Maltby side that is in a great vein of form.
Joint Manager Spencer Fearn said: “We have been speaking with Richard for a few weeks now and are delighted that he has signed for us here at Maltby. He is a strong no nonsense centre half with great leadership qualities. He has obviously played at a higher level and the experience he will bring to our side will be invaluable.”
Main travel to Albion Sports tomorrow on the back of three successive wins, the most recent victory a 5-2 win away at Pontefract which saw new signings Ryan Carroll and Cameron Rigby bag a hat-trick and brace respectively. Main now sit in 12th position in the Premier Division.
