Red hot midfielder Lewis Nightingale hit a hat-trick as unstoppable Farsley Celtic put a sledgehammer through title contenders Northwich Victoria to record their 12th straight win.

Farsley are now two points away from breaking into the play-offs zone.

The seeds of victory were sown in the second half after a goal-less opening 45 minutes. Farsley hit the front foot straight after the interval as full-back Aaron Hardy crossed for Chris Howarth to head home at the back-post.

Hat-trick hero Nightingale got his first of the afternoon after reacting the quickest from Jordan Deacey’s saved effort. Moments later, he broke into the penalty area to score.

Nightingale had a key role in the fourth as his mazy run enabled a final pass for Lewis Sugden to score from.

Nightingale sealed his treble in the dying minutes from the penalty spot.
