- Paul Lines resigned as manager of Nostell during Thursday afternoon, citing “personal reasons”.
- One of his assistants Kev Allsop will take charge of Nostell for the visit of Garforth Town on Friday night.
Paul Lines has decided to leave Nostell Miners Welfare after over a year in charge at Crofton.
There will be no dramatic return to the club this time for former Ossett Town chief Lines, who resigned before being reinstated last May.
Alongside orchestrating the great escape, Lines will be remembered for being the first person in the club’s history to lead Nostell to the final of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup.
“I’ve left because personal reasons which I don’t want to get into,” Lines told Non League Yorkshire.
“I must say though that I have enjoyed my time at the club as there are some lovely people and great facilities. There have some good moments such as getting to the cup final and the fantastic run which ensured we stayed up.
“I’ve left them in a good position. They have all the teams in and around them to play which ensure survival and we have set-up a great under 16s development team. Everything is moving in the right direction for the club.”
One of Lines’ assistants, Kev Allsop, will take the helm for the visit of Garforth Town on Friday night. It is the third time that Nostell have staged a Friday night fixture. The previous two against Pontefract Collieries and Liversedge have seen an increase in attendances.
