Silsden have appointed former player James Gill as their new manager after Ryan Haigh resigned.

Former Harrogate Railway player Haigh has quit for family reasons and he leaves Silsden, who have games in hand, sitting third-bottom in the Premier Division.

Gill returns to the club he played for at the start of their journey into the North West Counties over ten

Gill was the assistant manager to former Guiseley midfielder Stewart Airdrie at local rivals Barnoldswick Town. His first match in charge is the West Riding County Cup semi-final at Harrogate Town on Tuesday night.
