Hemsworth’s promotion dream is getting closer to becoming a reality after the demolition of Knaresborough – especially after third-place Bottesford dropped points.

Hemsworth cruised to victory after Bill Law and captain Jason Yates gave them a solid half-time lead.

Sam Jones scored twice to take their total to four. Gary Collier pulled a goal back for Knaresborough, but Dom Blair and Luke Danville completed the rout late-on.

Yorkshire Amateur 3-1 Shirebrook Town

The Ammers still have a chance of reaching the top six after convincingly beating rivals Shirebrook.

Joel Hughes, Carl Heard and Craig Heard were on the score-sheet for the Ammers.

Grimsby Borough 3-3 Eccleshill United

Lee Smith rescued a point for Eccleshill after Sean Regan’s men surrendered a 2-0 first half lead.

Deadly duo Luke Harrop and Adam Turner scored the goals before Grimsby hit back three times.

Selby Town 2-2 Bottesford Town

Nigel Emery and Reuben Pearse produced some fighting spirit out of Selby.

The interim manager duo’s side were trailing to first half goal with ten minutes to go when recent signing Ryan Watson, a former Selby captain, equalised.

Bottesford went back in front, but Chris Jackson ensured a share of spoils for Selby.

Penistone Church 2-2 Hall Road Rangers

Ollie Fearon retrieved a point for Penistone, whose play-offs hopes are still alive.

Duncan Richards scored Penistone’s other goal. Daniel Walker and Ben Kinsley scored for Hall Road.

Westella VIP 1-4 Hallam

Handsworth Parramore academy graduate Harry Bamforth enjoyed a brilliant debut for Hallam.

Bamforth hit the fourth for Ryan Hindley’s play-offs chasing side. Micah Bishop, Jack Hall and Handsworth’s other academy star Jed Phillips also scored.

Alex Wood’s penalty was a consolation for Westella.
