Chasetown 1-1 Goole AFC
New boss Lee Morris watched on as his Goole AFC side earned a deserved point at play-offs chasing Chasetown.
Caretaker boss Kev Graham remained in charge, but Morris was present to get an overview of his squad and he will have walked away pleased by what he saw.
The home side were stunned after former Pontefract Collieries striker Aaron Moxam put Goole in front midway through the first half with a header at the back-post.
Goole did have to face pressure from Chasetown for the rest of the half – notably Paul Sullivan rattled the crossbar.
The home side’s second half equaliser came from the penalty spot after Alex Varley fouled Nick Turton. James Dance converted the spot kick.
Chasetown’s Henry Eze was given a straight red card for a wild challenge late-on, helping Goole over the finish line with a potentially important point.
