Rob Youhill scored the winner for Shaw Lane Aquaforce at Daventry.
Rob Youhill’s second half goal was all Shaw Lane Aquaforce needed to ensure a third straight away win.
With several new players in the squad, Aquaforce were threatening from the beginning against one of the Evo Stik League’s crisis clubs. Gavin Allott was denied in the opening exchanges.
The difference was winger Youhill, who broke through on goal on the hour and lifted the ball over Ben Heath to score his first ever goal for Aquaforce.
Heath came to Daventry’s rescue on two occasions late-on as Aquaforce tried to kill the hosts. Allot had the first chance which Heath batted away.
The stopper then foiled Adam Priestley, but fortunately for Aquaforce one goal was enough for them to remain on course to finish in the top five.
