The identity of the actual goal-scorer is up for debate, but it doesn’t matter because Hemsworth took a massive leap towards promotion and the title.

It was a tense battle between the leaders and second-placed and a draw was on the cards until the final ten minutes.

Some say Sam Jones forced the ball home, others claim it was Harry Viggars, but that’s not the important issue, the three points was.

Winterton Rangers pulled off a memorable 4-2 victory at Hallam to move further away from the bottom two.

Eccleshill United lost 2-0 at home to Hull United, Hall Road Rangers were trounced by Bottesford Town and Rossington were thrashed 5-0 by Teversal.
