Farsley Celtic’s star midfielder Lewis Nightingale has turned down the advances of National League North side Chorley.
Nightingale is currently enjoying a scintillating season for Farsley and he has been a key reason behind their upturn in form. Crisis club Scarborough Athletic approached him earlier in the season, but that was also rebuffed.
“I feel that this season is still very much alive with it all to play for,” Nightingale said. “We have a real chance of getting into the play offs and I want to give all I can to make sure we finish the season strong and hopefully end up in one of those places.
“The club is a great place to play, it suits my style of play and the lads are great to be around. I feel very much at home here.
“For the rest of the season the goal is to try and win every game to finish in one of the play off places. It is then down to one-off games where anything can happen and see where we end up.
“We need to go on another run now, which hopefully started with the win at the weekend. We are more the capable of doing that with the players in the squad.”
